A brief description of my discovery within the Cape Flats Nature Reserve

When we were taken to the reserve during our practical which is normally on A Tuesday, it was extremely hot. The reserve looked dry and the sun was at its highest. It was a wonderful experience though despite the harsh weather. I discovered a lot of new plants and animals that I have never seen before. The journey was an unforgettable experience; it promoted team work and fun at the same time. The exercise broaden my knowledge on nature as well, this helped us identify the different plants and insects within the reserve. At first, I was not keen about the practical, because of my fear of snakes and other dangerous insects. Once we were half way through the nature reserve, I became at ease with the elements of nature and discovered that the animals do not come out in the day which gave me a sense of relief. I am an animal lover but I have a fear for some of them even though I’m constantly told that they are more afraid of me than what I am of them. The nature reserve practical was quite educational and I truly enjoyed myself, once I loosened up. My teammates were very supportive and we worked very well together, that’s most likely, because we are very comfortable around each other. The nature reserve was just truly amazing, the plants and green lands were beautiful conserved and I would not mind doing it again.
